Smith, who resigned from his position as the company’s President and CEO earlier this month, now fills the Chairman position vacated by Bill Hoover. Hoover had served as Chairman of the Board since 2015.

Steckel, the current VP, Corporate Development for AMERICAN SYSTEMS, replaces Peter Smith, who is retiring on September 5 after serving as President and CEO since August 2014. Smith will continue to have a role on the company’s board of directors.
