AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a leading provider of federal IT and engineering solutions, today announced the appointment of Chris Braccio as vice president of Human Resources (HR). In this role, Ms. Braccio will oversee all strategic employee initiatives including talent management, compensation, benefits and HR information systems. In addition, she will lead AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ charitable giving and scholarship programs.

Ms. Braccio joined AMERICAN SYSTEMS in 2007 as director of HR. During that time, she directed all employee rewards and compensation programs for AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ 1,300 employees. She has had a significant impact on AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ HR information systems, compensation, and benefits programs. Also, she has been an active member of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Employee Education Committee.
Prior to joining AMERICAN SYSTEMS, Chris, with more than 25 years of HR experience, has held senior HR leadership roles at World Kitchen, StarBand Communications, Sunrise Assisted Living as well as HR positions at Fortune 500 companies such as GTE (now Verizon), Contel, Eaton Corporation, and National Semiconductor.
She received her M.S., with honors, in Human Resource Management from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.S, magna cum laude, in Business Management from the University of Connecticut.
Ms. Braccio is based out of AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ Chantilly, Va. office.
