AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a leading government engineering and IT solutions provider, today announced that Kenneth J. Krieg has been appointed to the company’s Advisory Board, joining a distinguished group of senior advisors. The AMERICAN SYSTEMS Advisory Board, formed in 2015, works closely with the company’s management team in an advisory capacity, leveraging their years of experience as industry leaders and government officials.
Mr. Krieg served as Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) from 2005 to 2007. Previously, Mr. Krieg served as a senior executive at International Paper Corporation. He also served in a number of defense and foreign policy assignments, including positions at the White House, the National Security Council Staff, and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Mr. Krieg joins an illustrious group of Advisory Board members including Delores M. Etter, PhD (former Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition); Richard L. Haver (former Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Intelligence); R. Noel Longuemare (former Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology); and Sue C. Payton (former Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition).
