AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Earle “Chip” Engle as vice president and director of Human Capital Services, Operation Services directorate (HCS-OS). Engle will oversee the directorate’s growth as AMERICAN SYSTEMS expands its security assistance, advisory, and training services to the Department of Defense and the Department of State.
“With considerable experience in both the technical and managerial components of warfighter training and development, Chip will bring invaluable insights to AMERICAN SYSTEMS as we continue to supply the government with mission-critical services,” said William C. Hoover, president and CEO, AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “Chip’s strategic business acumen, operational management skills and technical training knowledge will propel the HCS-OS to a new level of growth and success.”
Engle has more than 20 years of experience in the strategic development of military training operations like the Joint Warfighting Center, Joint Training Analysis and Simulation Center, and the Joint Readiness Training Center. Most recently, Engle served as director of the U.S. Army TRADOC Training Brain, a high-tech capability and leader-warrior training program.
He was previously vice president at SAIC, serving in business development executive roles in a $600 million business division, and executive director of the Joint Warfighting Center, where he developed and implemented processes to transition joint training from a requirements based to capability based program. While assigned to the Joint Readiness Training Center, Engle coordinated the first Partnership for Peace Exercise conducted in the U.S. and planned and executed more than 50 combat training center rotations.
Engle earned his master’s degree at the National Defense Unversity’s National War College; is a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and General Staff College, the Army Staff College and the Citadel.
