AMERICAN SYSTEMS today announced it was awarded an $85,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract by the U.S. Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) for Fighter Test Services.
Under the terms of the five-year contract, AMERICAN SYSTEMS will provide operational test and evaluation services related to fourth- and fifth-generation fighter acquisition programs covering a broad range of technical and analytical operational test services. These integrated test functions for USAF and other multiservice/multicountry fighter aircraft include test design, planning, execution, and reporting to senior DoD officials. Work will be performed primarily at Edwards Air Force Base, CA, and Nellis Air Force Base, NV, and will support secondary locations across the country.
“AMERICAN SYSTEMS is proud to continue to provide Operational Test support for the largest DoD acquisition program in history, supporting test planning, execution, and reporting for three U.S. services and nine partner nations that will operate the F-35 Lightning II, as well as the front line USAF Air Superiority Fighter—the F-22A,” said Peter Smith, President and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “It is an honor to support the mission of our Armed Forces and our allies through our contributions to the next generation of fighter aircraft.”
