AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S., has appointed Ron Costella as Vice President/Executive Director of the company's Human Capital & Managed Services Training & Operational Services Segment.
In addition to providing leadership to this important business segment, Mr. Costella will develop and execute a growth strategy to strengthen the company's position, influence, and market share in the areas under his cognizance, which include security assistance training for the Departments of Defense and State both in the United States and abroad, facilities management/base operations, and organizational development and training.
Mr. Costella possesses 30 years of experience leading and managing large, complex organizations. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, his last position being Director, Capabilities Development for the Training Directorate of the U.S. Joint Forces Command. Most recently, he served as VP of Operations for Veritiss, LLC, and prior to that served as VP of Enterprise Support Services for Capstone Corporation. Mr. Costella also previously served as an executive at AMERICAN SYSTEMS.

Mr. Costella holds an advanced degree in Environmental Toxicology from Cornell and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. In addition, he is a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
