March 22, 2021 — Chantilly, VA — AMERICAN SYSTEMS was recently presented with its ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 20000-1:2018 certificates from Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide. The ISO 27001:2013 certification affirms the Information Security Management System for AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ business functions, and the ISO 20000-1:2018 certification recognizes that the company’s Service Management System adheres to the internationally-recognized standard for support of services to commercial and government clients.
“As part of our continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives, the impetus for AMERICAN SYSTEMS and its dedicated employee-owners to attain these certifications was to ensure consistency in the way we handle our data and deliver our services,” said Peter Smith, AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ President and CEO.

In addition to the two new certifications, AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ Quality Management System for selected programs and corporate managed processes was recertified under the ISO 9001:2015 standard in December 2020.
